Pakistan’s 2023 ICC World Cup squad and schedule

The 2023 ICC World Cup is set to grace India’s cricketing stages, featuring 10 formidable teams vying for the coveted title. The tournament will span from October 5 to November 19, with the inaugural and final matches hosted at the illustrious Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Pakistan, who clinched glory in the 1992 edition, aspires to etch their name on the trophy for the second time in their cricketing history. The Cricket World Cup will adopt a round-robin format, where all participating teams will engage in a total of 45 league matches.

Pakistan’s warm-up matches are scheduled as follows:

  • September 29 – Clash with New Zealand in Hyderabad
  • October 3 – Encounter with Australia in Hyderabad

The main round of Pakistan’s matches unfolds as follows:

  • October 6 – Face-off against the Netherlands in Hyderabad
  • October 10 – Showdown with Sri Lanka in Hyderabad
  • October 14 – Epic battle against India in Ahmedabad
  • October 20 – Duel with Australia in Bengaluru
  • October 23 – Meeting with Afghanistan in Chennai
  • October 27 – Contest against South Africa in Chennai
  • October 31 – Matchup with Bangladesh in Kolkata
  • November 4 – Challenge New Zealand in Bengaluru (Day match)
  • November 11 – Clash with England in Kolkata

Day matches are slated to commence at 10:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PST), while all other fixtures will be held as day-night encounters, commencing at 01:30 PM PST.

Should Pakistan secure a spot in the semi-finals, their battleground will be Kolkata. In the event of India reaching the semi-finals, they will play in Mumbai, except when facing Pakistan, in which case they will contend in Kolkata.
