England beat Pakistan in Cricket World Cup 2023 to qualify for Champions Trophy 2025.
England set a target of 339 runs to win the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in 44 matches.
But the Pakistani batting line-up failed to produce such a big total.
Pakistan’s openers Abdullah Shafiq and Fakhar Zaman could score only 10 runs in the first three overs and were dismissed at the start.
After him, Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan played a partnership of 51 runs, but after that, in the fourteenth over, Captain Babar Azam fell victim to Gas and Tucson. Babar Azam scored 38 runs off 45 balls, which included six boundaries.
Rizwan formed a partnership with Saud Shakeel and completed a hundred runs but was dismissed by Moeen Ali who scored 36 runs off 51 balls with two boundaries.
Saud was joined by Agha Salman and he managed to score 26 runs for the fifth wicket. England’s spinners reduced Pakistan to 191 for nine.
Agha Salman was the top scorer for Pakistan with 45 runs off 51 balls which included six boundaries.
Pakistan pacers Haris Rauf and Wasim Jr put up a 53-run partnership in good opposition.
Haris Rauf scored 35 runs off 23 balls for the tenth wicket, which included three fours and three sixes, along with Wasim Jr. scored 16 runs off 14 balls.
David Valley took three wickets for 56 runs in 10 overs while Adil Rashid took one century and Moeen Ali took two wickets each.
The England team players praised their captain Jos Buttle’s decision which allowed them to post a good total.
